Only I can get sore TRICK-OR-TREATING.
It was Siobhane’s second Halloween, and pretty much first she could enjoy. I was hoping that she would get some exercise, but admittedly, I was the one that did. My shoulders are sore because I had her up there nearly the entire time. Only I can get sore trick-or-treating, or bowling, or playing miniature golf.
With no budget and running out of time, I had to improvise quick on Siobhane’s costume. I made her into the “Princess of Hearts.” She wore a ruby red dress, had her back in a small pony tail, and a eraser-board heart on her cheek. I made her scepter by rolling card-stock printer paper around a ball point pen. Since she was chewing on it all night – imagine that, by an 18-month old – it hardly resembles what it did when I made it.
It was a little bit odd to be hanging with the group without Bronwynn, who unfortunately worked tonight. She missed out on us atatcking parts of Santee and Lakeside with lust from goodies. We saw coolchicky1974 and Mel’s new place for the first time. t_t_tanya dontated some candy to the Siobhane Trick-o-Treat Fund For Her Hungry Parents. At the beginning of the night, Sera and Morgan actually fell asleep (around 6:30pm) in the car.
Thank you, Riddles and Hunnicutts and Hunnicutts’ extended family for inviting me along!
For every show you protest, I wil watch and tell five friends…
I wasn’t planning on adding any more TV shows to my viewing plate, but I hate stuff like this:
Advertisers backing out of ‘Desperate Housewives’ due to American Family Association protests.
I wasn’t interested in this show, because I’m not that interested in housewives, especially the upper-crust SUV-driving-soccer-moms-from-Rancho-Bernardo-types. However, the AFA’s sole purpose in society is to eliminate your choice of what to watch on TV.
So, I am going to start taping and watching – it’s the principle. If you don’t like it, don’t watch it and don’t tell me what to watch. Boycotts are mostly asinine. Oh, they are also getting on the case of “Life As We Know It” on ABC. There’s another one the AFA doesn’t like. It’s going to be a busy weekend.
