The last family on earth to have a wireless phone.
Bronwynn needed a cell phone, and so I went and bought her a T-Mobile.
We held out as long as we could, but she needed it for work.
The prepaid variety is so non-hassle (at least with T-Mobile) that I don’t know why other people don’t just get them.
Laundry in a rain storm.
Okay, I want to let you guys know about a myth that is just getting out of control. People are believing it and I have to set the records straight, before trouble starts.
Siobhane does not need clothes. This is a myth perpetrated by the greedy textile industry in an effort to dupe my friends and family into needlessly spending their hard-earned money for something they perceive my daughter needs.
I repeat, Siobhane does not need clothes.
Bronwynn and I went to the laundromat and did 13 loads, nearly all of it Siobhane’s clothes and bedding. It cost us $36. We had 7 containers. We got there at 3:40pm when it was partly cloudy and warm. It was 7:50pm when we left and it was a rain storm outside.
Why the hell did we pay $13 in drying clothes when it would be negated by me accidentally leaving the hatch up for a half hour? D’oh?!? Thankfully, only one item was soaked, everything else was merely negligibly moistened by the deluge.
Siobhane has one drawer full of shirts. Just shirts. About 40 of them. 40! I stuffed them all in there somehow.
Siobhane has so many clothes that she has a drawer devoted to shorts, and one devoted to pants!
We will keep you updated with any developments, such as if she outgrows 3T and 4T, which is inevitable, then she will possibly need clothes after all.
